1. Prioritize health and safety
Avoid ordinary industrial wax paper: Non food grade wax paper may contain industrial paraffin, which releases harmful substances at high temperatures and is only used for cold food.
Choose certified products: Prioritize baking paper with "food grade", "FDA certified", and "fluorescent free" labels, especially in scenarios where it comes into direct contact with food.
2. Environmental protection needs
Degradable baking paper: bamboo pulp/sugarcane pulp base+biodegradable silicone oil, suitable for environmentalists, but with higher cost (30% -50% higher than ordinary silicone oil paper).
Reusable silicone oil paper: Clean and non burnt silicone oil paper can be reused to reduce waste (such as when baking vegetables)
Guide to Avoiding Pits
Do not confuse oil paper with silicone oil paper:
The surface of the oil paper is smooth but thin, and there is a wax like sound when torn open; Silicone oil paper is thicker and more resilient when pulled.
Check the high-temperature resistance label:
If there is no clear temperature resistance label on the packaging, it is assumed to be treated according to the minimum standard (such as oil paper ≤ 150 ℃).
Taboos for using aluminum foil:
Avoid prolonged contact with acidic foods such as tomatoes and pickled vegetables to prevent aluminum migration;
Do not use aluminum foil in the microwave (it can easily cause sparks).
